A few months ago, Brad from Road Runner sent me a hip pouch and cell pouch to check out. If you’re not familiar with Road Runner… it’s an emerging Long Beach based outfit that makes really nice custom bags.

I had the idea of using Meg to model these items, while my buddy Jason Finn snapped the photos. Like myself, Meg has a slender figure and the hip pouch fits her frame perfectly. What I like about this pouch is the lines and shape it forms. All in all… this is a very basic hip pouch that incorporates those must have features like an integrated u-lock holster, D-ring, and most importantly… waterproof.

The cell pouch is sized perfectly for your smart phone. With its adjustable velcro strap… you can virtually mount this pouch on any shoulder strap you throw at it… thick or thin. Currently, Road Runner has made several improvements on the cell pouch which you can view HERE.

I definitely look forward to trying out more Road Runner items b/c they have a good thing going…

"Recently, DJ Mull from SE Bikes made a trip up to Portland. Sadly, due to the weather and my work schedule, we were only able to have one solid day of riding… which happened to be on his last day in PDX. So I decided to take him up to Battleground, WA to mess around at a huge skatepark. After a few hours and a few passing showers, we decided to head back to Portland. As we waited for the rush hour traffic to die out, we hit up a couple of street spots. When traffic was clear, we loaded up and drove out to Beaverton for a night session at the skatepark. DJ blasted around with a few of the local BMX riders and definitely caught a lot of peoples attention riding a Fixed Gear. With the temperature dropping and DJ (the San Diegan) starting to lose feeling in his hands and feet from the cold, we figured this was a good time to head back home and have a few drinks to end the night and to bid him farewell.

Having such a tiny Fixed Gear Freestyle scene here in Portland, I'm hoping from all the attention DJ got while riding in PDX… that it sparks more interest and hopefully produces a few more dedicated riders. In the end, it was great to meet DJ and I cant wait to go out and ride again." – Jason Finn
