Recently, I made a post on the Outlier Merino Hoodies. I just received some more info on this sweet item:
Some garments are too nice to be seasonal. When Abe and Tyler at
Outlier made a couple experimental merino hoodies in December they barely took them off for months. They were so nice they couldn't wait till fall and went ahead and produced a limited run for immediate release. Yes, that nice.
To put the OUTLIER Merino Hoodie to the test Outlier they called on their friend Austin "Horse", the king of the streets himself. Very few riders are as at home riding fast in urban traffic as Austin and he's got the alleycat victories and North American Courier Championship to prove it. More importantly though he's a key driving force in New York's Time's Up bicycle activist organization. With a bit of Outlier merino in his wardrobe now he can keep on doing what he does so well with even more style and comfort.
Straight up, merino is the best hoodie material around. It's got a beautiful soft handfeel and keeps you snug and warm when you are hanging out. But when you get active it wicks sweat away from your body keeping you cool and dry. Antimicrobial too so it never stinks the way cotton or polyester does.
The OUTLIER Merino Hoodie cut is lean and minimal, with long raglan sleeves to give a full range of motion when riding. The back is extended to keep you covered and the large three panel hood can be worn over a helmet. The fabric is 95% superfine merino wool, with a small amount of nylon mixed in for added durability. Available in Black, Charcoal Gray, Rich Blue, Light Gray and Army Green. The Army Green is a slightly tougher merino grade, a touch less soft, but also a touch more durable. Made in NYC. Limited edition, 15 per color. $225 online.

The Standby looks damn good... pure and simple. It reminds me of some of the stuff CCP puts out, but better constructed and located in North America!
