Recently, I received a few pairs of
The Eliot by
Macbeth. Already owning a pair of
The Manchester... The Eliot was equally superb! Not to mention both models are part of their VEGAN line! My gawd... riding in them was just bliss. Even with our frigid weather... my feet retained its comfort and warmness. Absolutely the best shoes for my riding pleasures. Goodbye Vans... hello Macbeth!
Much love to

This frame was initially an experiment to see how far we could push the boundaries and capabilities of 14 Bike Co’s resources. Andy at
FGLDN based the concept on a couple of frames he had owned in the past. This is a frame that is all about the details…
Many times this has been mistaken for Aluminum. This is a steel frame, Reynolds double butted 853 to be precise. We at
14 BIKE CO only work with steel when it comes to making our bicycle frames. This was a common choice for a custom frame 20 or so years ago, but today you would find it almost impossible to get your hands on something similar. 14 & FGLDN believe steel has soul because of the skill and time that goes into making a frame like this.
This is the jewel in 14’s crown, it is something that has had more thought and workmanship put into it than any frame we have produced before. This is a high performance street frame will be available in two different geometries: Tight and Super Tight! One for short distances or sprinting and the other will give a more comfortable ride for longer distances. You may think that you have seen something like this before… but never with the combination of technology and parts that we have available to us today. This steel aero frame is a rarity in today’s over run Carbon and Aluminum world. We want this to be a highlight in 14’s line up, something that stands out above everything else.
We intended this to be a frame you can abuse and it will still love you the next day. 14 Bike Co & FGLDN did not compromise on any part of the development and we hope that riders who will own this frame don’t compromise on the final build or the way they ride this bike…
Reynolds 853 double butted oversize aero tubing, custom drawn for 14 Bike Co. Full fillet brazing, takes a 27.2 Seat post and an English threaded bottom bracket. CNC machined custom drop outs. Wheel cut out on the seat tube for a shorter rear end. Integrated hidden headset. Frame set includes a carbon fibre monocoque fork.
14R frame + forks are priced at £1000.00 and can be pre-ordered from john[at]14bikeco.com. Framesets will be available from mid February.

I started riding fixies in 2004 when a friend of mine built his first conversion and let me take it for a spin. On my maiden voyage, a car pulled out in front of me and, novice as I was, I slammed full speed into the driver’s side door. At that moment, I knew I was in love.
Nurse Betsy is an 80s model Univega free hub conversion. On the way to the dump, she was salvaged from my neighbors’ trash pile after a spring cleaning frenzy. She still has all of her original components, including her 27” wheels. She’s my first and only fixie and I wouldn’t trade her for all the steel in China.
Her saddle is a rescue from my adopt-a-seat program, “Tap That.” A few years ago, I started saving unloved saddles from junk piles at thrift stores and garage sales and dressing ‘em up with other salvaged materials. The result: landfill diversion and seats that even the hottest asses would be proud to straddle.

Check out Sander's new custom
Colossi fixie. The lugs are polished & smoothed giving the frame a one-piece look. The one-piece handlebar/stem combo is fillet brazed. To add a personal touch to his frame... lugs and paint detail are done in glitter... with the absence of any stickers. Lastly, coins (homage to Gios) were added to the crown of the fork making this frame a true one-off.

Thanks Brian from Bike Reviews for sharing this with me.
"The
Bianchi Pista Classic 2010 had many of its spectators salivating at this year’s InterBike. The Bianchi Pista Classic frame, a concept at the moment despite UrbanVelo’s misprint on an article earlier in the year, was “classically” done in a celeste green and complemented with chrome lugs. The Pista Classic frame on display at this year’s InterBike was made complete with after-market parts such as a brownish swede saddle, drop down handlebars, and a white wheel set that matched beautifully with the white bar-tape. There’s still many questions surrounding the Bianchi Pista Classic, which we hope to find answers for in the near term." –

Jerry was one of our early prizes winners for the Rose City Fix. He was given a
Leader 721TR Track Frame which was stolen from our U-Haul. It just happens that Sal from
Leader was sending this
722TS Track Frame for our event as well... but didn’t arrive on time. Thank gawd it didn’t arrive on time because it would have most likely been stolen as well. Jerry was STOKED when we gave it to him!
Brenton Salo snapped these picts of pure enjoyment. Even with our stuff being stolen... we keep on giving! None of this would have been made possible if it wasn’t for the awesome people like Sal at Laeder!
