Today I received a pair of H Plus Son EERO rims. Blown away... YES! These bad boys are solid! If you ever wondered why the name EERO... its named after the architect Eero Saarinen who was commissioned to do the Gateway Arches in St. louis, Missouri. These rims resemble the excellence of the Arches.

Mufa Wear is a two person operation (me and my wife :-), and is all about hand made bicycle accessories. Right now we have a wool scarf, a t-shirt with Mufa logo & reflective stripe on the back, leather ankle bands, leather holster for a mini Kryptonite, leather pouch for small stuff,and a key ring on a leather strap for the belt. All leather is salvaged leather. Everything is handmade in Warsaw, Poland. More stuff to come.

Dan from Portland Design Works was kind enough to send me a coated 3wrencho sample. After I took this shot, I used this handy tool on one of my wheels that needed a tire swap. It was a breeze getting my Randonneur off the rim with the lever side. And with the coating, I didn’t notice any wear markings from the procedure. Since I don’t use hubs with bolt-on nuts, I couldn’t test the 3wrencho 100%. Maybe a 6mm hex bit for us Phil Wood fans?

Our 1/8″ CNC’d cogs are completely machined front and back for a nice finish out of 7075-T6 Aluminum Alloy. These cogs are extremely light and durable. Available in different teeth sizes and anodized finishes.
For those that wish for steel cogs, we have Stainless & Chromoly cogs to be released in the next month. Our stainless cogs will have a special coating to reduce chain friction and promote lubricity.

Identiti is stoked to announce that we have just finished the R&D on our groundbreaking new Fixed Gear Freestyle frame, the Persona. Trusted the world over in the 4X and Jump bike markets, we have injected this knowledge into a design that urban trick riders can count on.
Features:
BMX/MTB influenced, lightweight and strong 700c frame for the discriminating Fixed Gear Freestyler.
While most frames currently available for Fixed riding were designed as “Road” products, we’ve used some of the stuff we’ve learned over the years to provide a strong but not excessively heavy frame that can handle today’s progressive riding.
We’ve tweaked the classic Fixie frame geometry to provide a little more space up front for bar spins etc, and a sloping top tube… to allow more room and maneuverability.
A down tube box gusset adds additional strength where it is needed most.
Revolutionary Taper-Lock self-tensioning wedge shaped dropouts, tension the chain as you tighten the axle bolts — no chain tugs needed. With the Taper-Lock system, your wheel can never pull forwards under pedal torque. Taper-Lock also means a minimalist, clean look.
These frames will be available through BTI.

The 3wrencho (coated) is your best buddy when you have a flat. Unlike your other friends the 3wrencho is made of heat-treated steel, removes 15mm axle nuts and can pry tires off of rims. Don't worry, its glass-filled nylon coating is gentle on your pristine rims. Feel free to step on 3wrencho for added leverage when loosening axle nuts.
Other uses: spread jelly, stir a drink or open a letter.

After slamming and breaking our prototypes in public and in front of cameras, we finally started production of the Kilroy frame. The tests that Wonka ran lead to the conclusion that we had to manufacture a tube set just for this frame, with particular reinforced parts to absorb and handle the stress of the jumps. Together with Columbus we decided to change the alloy in order to avoid very thick and heavy tubes and gain in strength nevertheless. We are proud to present the first freestyle frame in Niobium steel. The Columbus Niobium steel is a special micro alloyed steel with Manganese, Chrome, Nickel, Molybdenum and Niobium that is designed to provide superior mechanical properties.

STOLEN: Jason's Rear Wheel

Jason's rear wheel was recently stolen at Benders (SF). The rear wheel is a black H Plus Son rim (32h) laced with black spokes/nipples to a Chub hub (with Cadence stickers plastered all over). The Chub hub has a 17t Euro-Asia Gold Medal Pro cog with a Shimano Dura-Ace lockring. The tire is a black 700 x 32 Vittoria Randonneur… newish.
The drive side of the rim has a scratch going all the way around it… so it looks like a brake was used on the rim. If you see it, grab it and/or smash the kid selling it. There is a reward.
