PEDAL Consumption is proud to carry
PHOENIX. V2 Straps. That’s right... they’ve landed in the US and they are one of the most innovative straps out in the market!
Check out Jacob Ruff's review
HERE! See them in action @
Géométrick.
These straps are equipped with a primary strap that contours to the shape and size of ANY shoe. Then, you have a secondary strap that goes over the primary strap which adds extra strength and stability.
Made in Japan.
Head on over to the
PC Store and get some!

BLAQ have updated their
Platform Straps for stiffness by adding an extra layer of webbing tucked behind the velcro and cross stitching which helps the strap keep it's shape for easier entry.

The latest iteration of our ever-popular foot retention system are ready to hit the streets. Built with a new tubular webbing, these straps are even stronger with a flexible feel, able to take a beating but easier to break in. We've lengthened the top closure and and the tapered straps for added surface area and enhanced velcro holding strength. Available in three brighter, bolder colorways (Black Gold, Orange Kush, and Grape Ape) these straps are online now and coming to retail stores soon. Check 'em out

“So I have had these for over 2 months now, and boy are the awesome. They have proven to be super durable and most importantly comfortable. I have had zero problems with them, and the adjustment is perfect for me. I also like that although I got white, they aren't that dirty yet even with the terrible weather.” –Tyler (

So to start off, these
PEDAL STRAPS are real burly and solid. Since they are so stiff, it makes it really easy to get in and out of your pedals, which I love. Its always a pain when straps are too floppy and it takes forever to get your foot into them. I especially like the aesthetics of the straps, the all black with the little
RESISTANT label looks real clean. I honestly can't really think of any improvements or changes I would make to these straps. I guess, if anything, somehow make them easier to put on the pedal, but I don't know how reasonable that is, since they aren't too difficult in the first place.
Overall, I really like these straps. I've been riding them for a little bit and haven't had any problems. Though, I haven't been riding them long enough to see how well they hold up to the elements or my beatings, but I can tell they will do just fine. The overall quality is great and I can see myself riding them for a long time.

Mark from
HANDWORKS sent me a pair of
GRIP straps via Hong Kong. Right off the bat… these straps were easy to install with its integrated buckle system. What stands out about these particular buckles is that they are thicker than what others have been using. And with the thicker buckles, it was easier to grasp them when installing the straps. As an added bonus to having thicker buckles… they will withstand all the abuse you throw at them… especially grinding tricks.
Another great feature about these straps is the material used on the top portion of main foot strap. It's almost like a polyurethane material which seems to be an excellent water repellent. Riding in the rain, I noticed the water beading right off the straps. So if you live in a place that gets tons of downpour, this feature may suite you very well!
Overall, I think the GRIP is a great FRS and I think the majority of trick riders will appreciate them. For inquires, contact HANDWORKS @ chackongshop[at]gmail.com.
AND YES... all praise to
Hold Fast for paving the way in the FRS dept. When you make something so damn good... others will follow suit.

Sebastian from
AURORA Collective sent me a sweet package. I received a handful of colorful stickers, a few t-shirts, a copy of Artzine Issue #1, and a pair of their Velcro Straps. What I really like about AURORA Collective is that its heavily art-based and very creative. The
Artzine is absolutely amazing and well laid out! In a few days, I look forward to testing out the
AURORA Velcro Straps and writing a proper review!
Big thanks to Sebastian and crew!
