"Recently, DJ Mull from SE Bikes made a trip up to Portland. Sadly, due to the weather and my work schedule, we were only able to have one solid day of riding… which happened to be on his last day in PDX. So I decided to take him up to Battleground, WA to mess around at a huge skatepark. After a few hours and a few passing showers, we decided to head back to Portland. As we waited for the rush hour traffic to die out, we hit up a couple of street spots. When traffic was clear, we loaded up and drove out to Beaverton for a night session at the skatepark. DJ blasted around with a few of the local BMX riders and definitely caught a lot of peoples attention riding a Fixed Gear. With the temperature dropping and DJ (the San Diegan) starting to lose feeling in his hands and feet from the cold, we figured this was a good time to head back home and have a few drinks to end the night and to bid him farewell.
Having such a tiny Fixed Gear Freestyle scene here in Portland, I'm hoping from all the attention DJ got while riding in PDX… that it sparks more interest and hopefully produces a few more riders. In the end, it was great to meet DJ and I cant wait to go out and ride again." – Jason Finn

Jason Finn sent me some photos he took of Matt Montoya attempting a bank to rail @ the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Matt spent several days trying to get the right angle off the sidewalk into this bank… not to mention dealing with going over the rail and getting smashed by circling taxis.

VRZ 1. A Track Bike Frame With 3D Printed Lugs from Ralf Holleis on Vimeo.
I saw this bike by Vorwaertz a few days ago and was a tad PERPLEXED. As more and more people post this unique frameset with 3D stainless steel lugs… I just don’t get it. This is something Orange County Choppers would do. Fashion over function or a ride built for Venom… hmm.
