Colossi LOW PRO

Sander came through with another nice share from Colossi... the LOW PRO.

"The Colossi Low Pro is our newest addition to our stock frame collection. Low Pro is constructed with our proprietary 6061 Double Butted Aluminum tubing by our skillful frame builder. The smooth welding technique makes the frame looks seamless and ultra-sleek. The geometry and ultra aero tube profile enhance aerodynamic."

The Colossi Manero

"The Colossi Manero is constructed with Columbus Spirit Keirin tubing coupled with completely customized lugs carved by our highly skilled frame builder. Each individual lug is carved all by hand to perfection after numerous of hours with high precision; we can make it with different type of tubing and different carving patterns. The virtue of traditional frame building is truly exemplified by the Colossi Manero."

Thanks Sander for sharing!

Colossi Carambola

"As always Colossi enjoys brining back the good old glory of frame building both techniques and materials which long been neglected. The Carambola constructed with our Colossi Carambola 4130 Triple butted tubing Chromoly in unique star-shape. The Colossi Carambola frame is coupled with our newest stock 4130 A170 crown fork is truly a classic. The Colossi Carambola tubing will be available in both 4130 triple butted Chromoly or 6061 double butted Aluminum." – Colossi

See more of the Colossi Carambola on their flickr page.

Sander’s Colossi Punani Smasher

Sander Kole sent me a link to his new Colossi track frameset today. He says the geometry is a mix between track and road... perfect for criteriums. The Artwork is done by their in-house designer Fino Lou.

"The latest creation is the smooth welded Columbus XL8R Track Frame. The geometry is a mix between track and road. Perfect for crits. With the frame weight at 1.2 KG this frame is light, agile and smooth." – Colossi

So what's your definition for "Punani Smasher?" =p

Colossi | The Radial

Colossi bringing back the traditional frame building techniques and geometry which have long been neglected. The Radial features with double seat tube and constructed with Columbus Spirit Keirin, the use of ultra-light and stiff tubing accompanied with a double seat-tube reduces the wheel base distance which makes the Radial extremely agile. The lug and fillet brazed construction makes the Radial classic and tradition.

Colossi | The Traveler

Sander from Colossi emailed about their newsiest creation... The Traveler.

"The Traveler used the Columbus Spirit, known for one of the lightest tubing available on the market enables traveler to have light and strong frameset. The geometry is designed for long-distance commuting and comfortable ride especially with clearance to accommodate thicker tyres. The horizontal dropout with rear derailleur allows rider to have choice between gear or singlespeed upon their tastes and preferences. The Ritchey Break-Away system enable user to split the bicycle apart for easy storage and fit into travel case." – Colossi

Kagero + Colossi 90mm

I finally laced my Colossi 90mm Carbon Clincher and it came out beautiful. I've been testing out the BLB Notorious 90mm Carbon clincher for several months and it passed with flying colors.

My Colossi 90mm build was mirrored from my BLB 90mm... using a Chris King R45 hub, Sapim bladed spokes, DT Swiss nipples, and Control Tech skewer. I look forward to putting the Colossi 90mm Carbon Clincher through the wringer as well.

Colossi: Accelerator Pursuit Framesets

Sander from Colossi shot me some links to their new Accelerator Pursuit framesets.

"The Accelerator Pursuit is a speed demon on velodrome. Columbus XLR8R Scandium tubes were chosen with careful consideration together with precise discussion with experienced racers and builders. Columbus XLR8R Scandium which contain Zirconium and Scandium have very unique characteristic – reduce in grain sizes, improve weld-ability, resistance fragileness from high temperature welding and recovery of mechanical characteristic after welding. The high lightness/strength ratio allows cyclist easily accelerate without having weight penalty."

Colossi Copster Color

Colossi have been experimenting with some new colors... as you can see in their new Copster colors line. I like this particular one.
